L & E // Markree Castle

Laura & Ewan were married last summer in the opulent setting of Markree Castle, an historic Irish castle in the west of Ireland. It was an elegant Scots-Irish wedding, with the groom’s family hailing from Scotland and opting for traditional kilts, while the bride Laura is from the west of Ireland, and their ceremony took place in her hometown of Ballina, in St. Muredach’s Cathedral.

The bride’s style was modern and romantic. She wore a stunning Suki by Rime Arodaky dress with a cowl back and embroidered flowery tulle. She had a bespoke headpiece commissioned by Tilly Thomas Lux to match her Jimmy Choo tiara shoes.

The groom incorporated his Scottish heritage in his kilt outfit in blue and green tartan from MacGregor and MacDuff.

Their pastel colour theme was reflected in the bride’s loose and elegant bouquet, cotton letterpress stationery suite, and mint green Mrs. Box.  The bride incorporated her something old with a vintage brooch from her grandmother, pinned to her flowing bouquet ribbon.

The couple’s gorgeous Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Milly even made an appearance after the ceremony to join in the festivities too.
