K & R // Clonwilliam House

Katie & Rob planned the most exquisite yet laid-back wedding on a gorgeous summer day in Co. Wicklow. 

They chose Clonwilliam House, a stunning country house set dramatically atop the wooded hills that surround the Vale of Avoca. The house is an exquisite blend of contemporary beauty and period splendour, combining spectacular 21st century luxury with the loveliness of a Georgian backdrop. It’s a photographer’s dream, filled with an abundance of natural light, muted tones, and ornate cornicing and coving. 

An outdoor wedding in Ireland is always risky, so they had a marquee as Plan B back-up. Just days before the wedding, they decided to cancel the marquee and pray for the rain to hold off – they were thankfully rewarded with a beautiful outdoor spiritual ceremony on the grounds. For a photographer, this was a dream, we were blessed with amazing cloudy diffused natural light, a welcome break from dark churches.

Katie wore a strapless A-line gown from Pronovias, and paired it with dainty rose gold glitter Jimmy Choos. Katie's bridesmaids wore gorgeous mix and match Jenny Yoo dresses from The Suite on Dublin's Drury Street.

Their adorable niece and nephew Jack and Olivia were on hand to lead the processional up the grassy aisle! 

Their guests enjoyed the outdoor couches as they sipped on prosecco and feasted on canapés overlooking the breathtaking woodlands, before relishing in the evening’s entertainment long into the wee hours.
